Last month, we had the privilege of offering French <> English interpretation to the conference Data for Development in Africa, held at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi, in June 2017. This high level event focused on amplifying the voices of African governments, regional bodies, private sector, and civil society partners across the region and the world, to ensure that data becomes part of the infrastructure for sustainable development.
The conference was co-hosted by the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, the Governments of Kenya and Sierra Leone, and Safaricom, in collaboration with the African Development Bank, the UN Economic Commission for Africa, and the Governments of Ghana, Senegal, and Tanzania.
In attendance were high level speakers from across Africa including: Ambassador Amina Mohamed, CS of Foreign Affairs representing H.E. William Samoei Ruto, Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Victor Bockarie Foh, Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone to whom we provided interpretation into English of his Keynote speech, H.E. George Gyan-Baffour, Minister for Planning of Ghana, Bob Collymore, CEO, Safaricom, H.E. Win Busayi Juyana Mlambo, Deputy Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services of the Republic of Zimbabwe among 300 other international delegates.
This high level meeting gave us yet another opportunity to show that we deliver quality interpretation to large events.
